There are many DJ’s that say that they will meet a couple face to face to discuss their wedding celebrations. Some of these DJ’s will be wingin’ it
hoping this alleged service that they offer will allow them to justify a higher fee. In reality, all that will be discussed is music and very little else.
I have been in the entertainment industry professionally for over 34 years meaning that I have earned a living from the business. I do not do a normal job Monday – Friday (if there is such a thing as normal these days) and then DJ for 5 hours at the weekend. THIS IS my career and a job that I LOVE. I’m happy to talk about weddings and celebrations all day long. I have worked in assorted senior management rolls & as an entertainer for all of this time. Attending many training courses, workshops & seminars alongside some of the very best in the business. Also embarking on mentorship programmes with award winning industry professionals. At 53 years of age I still worry about every single wedding I host because I want everything to be perfect.
I have forgotten how many times a couple have sat with me and looked completely overwhelmed by the sheer volume of things to think about when organising a wedding. When we meet, part of the planning process will involve going through as much as possible to help alleviate the stress and worry that you may be facing.
I do not do anything online. I do not offer a portal where you and your guests can lodge requests for the evening party. Why you may ask? Simple, I cannot learn about YOU. I want to know what makes your eyes light up and what makes them glaze over. I want EMOTION! After all, isn’t a wedding day all about emotions & memories. Typing random titles into an excel document provides no insight at all. Most people also find it very hard to recollect song names and artists, when purely faced with a list. I want to be able to help create those moments on your Wedding Day that will be remembered in 5, 10, 15 years’ time with fondness and laughter.
This takes time and commitment from all of us and often an initial meeting will last anywhere between 1 – 2 hours. I can play as big or as small a part as you wish. We will discuss everything. Whether your First Dance is a full Strictly dance routine or a hold and shuffle moment. Whatever your decision, my job is to give you as many ideas as possible so that you can create your very own blueprint and have a party that is TOTALLY YOU!
Don’t just take my word for it… *these are a handful of very kind comments from the wonderful couples who took time out of their day to provide completely independent feedback on my services.
“From start to finish Paul has made us at ease, he is extremely professional, he goes above and beyond (meeting on several occasions), nothing is too much trouble, he is a true gentleman and entertainer. Thoroughly looked after all night, songs were amazing, communication with our guests was amazing, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We would have Paul again in a heartbeat for any occasion. We cannot praise this man enough. Worth every penny!!”
“We initially found DJ Paul Allen wedding services online and later met him at a wedding show a few months before our wedding in September this year. We instantly got along so well due to his genuine, friendly and lovely personality. He told us some stories from previous weddings and you could just tell how passionate he was about what he does and how much he cares about getting your party how you want it. Before our big day, he helped us so much including coming over to our home to talk about songs, lighting as well as the walking on clouds we had throughout our first dance which Paul supplied for us (which was amazing!!). He was available whenever we needed him and even helped me put together a video of my hen do antics which was shown at the wedding reception! We also did the Mr and Mrs game which Paul organised and it was a brilliant addition to our evening! Nothing was any bother to him to help us with and he did it all with a can-do attitude at all times! Paul, you were amazing and we would recommend you time and time again! Thank you for all of your help and playing all our favourite songs, we and our guests had the best celebration ever! Mr and Mrs Spicer x”
“Every aspect of Paul’s service was absolutely brilliant. He made our wedding planning and day itself incredibly easy and most importantly, a lot of fun! Paul understood exactly what we wanted during both day and evening and ensured everything went smoothly. The party started early and didn’t stop until the very end – there have been so many positive comments from our guests about how good the night was. I would also highly recommend asking him to be your host for the day as well as DJ, it was very helpful to have him around (particularly during the speeches). There really isn’t a better person out there for wedding services. Get in touch with Paul and book him now if he’s available… if he‘s not, consider changing your date!”
“After meeting Paul we knew immediately that he was the man to make everyone dance. His passion for his work was endearing, especially after all of the years he’s been doing it. He really took the time to find out what music would work best for us, giving us lots of experienced advice. He is a fantastic communicator, and we never had to chase him- which is amazing when you’re planning a wedding! Paul’s bubbly, fun and enthusiastic personality came across and the guests loved him!”
I personally do not like being pressured into anything. My approach to business is exactly the same. There is no hard sell and I will not spend all day on Social Media sites telling you how wonderful I would be at your wedding. I strongly believe that referrals from happy couples and leading venues alike are the very best form of advertising and over 90% of my work is through personal recommendation.
I would LOVE to have the opportunity to sit down with you and talk about your PERFECT CELEBRATION!
